NORVIN ON CRAIG'S LIST

I talked to the owner of that Norvin project Matt. It seems like quite a bit of money but they all are now. I wonder when the appetite for anything with the Vincent name might subside. Apparently he has had quite a bit of interest. It has a beautiful tank. It has some nice wheels and brakes as well, but he didn't send me pictures of those. In the pictures the bike was mocked up with some ordinary Norton wheels. The engine is chopped. It was a B Shadow engine so it is a shame it was chopped really. It seems to be nicely mated with a Norton Geabox and an Atlas primary. The engine may have some really nice parts in it, but it needs repairs too. A valve dropped at some point. Apparently it has some combination of parts that gives a claimed 1200cc and 12:1 compression ratio. Probably with a whole bunch of work it could be someone's dream bike. The oddest thing the bike has is 40 mm Dellorto carbs that look like Amal GPs, mounted on two front heads. The front carb is so huge it has to be mounted on an intake manifold about a foot long that is bent down so the front carb right next to the rear one. The twin floats are both mounted on the right of the bike side by side. It has coil ignition.
