There is a very high end car show that takes place by the sea in Dana Point California every year & last year was the first time they allowed motorcycles. The bike part was & is still organized by a nice man named Bill McClennen who is with the VJMC (vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club) so of corse the Japanese bikes filled a lot of the slots last year but there was a good turn out of bikes including a stuning Moto Remi, two amazing Triumph flat track race bikes, a pair of beautiful Triumph 40's / 50's twins & a few very cool 60' 70's period Brit cafe bikes. The one Norton, a 74 or 75 was I asume a (all stock untouched) example. It was complete I guess but was also complete with every bit of oil and dirt & rust collected since new. I was asked by Bill to enter my 850 and my 441 Shooting Star BSA but frankly, although nicer then what was there last year in cleanliness they are not show bikes. My Norton sees a lot of hard miles, is built with a lot of non stock stuff so I'm asking if anyone here would like to show a bike? Please someone represent Norton!!! It's just me but a CB Honda at a show of this quality is,,, well I shouldn't say. They NEED real vintage bikes. 33 of 70 something slots were taken last week so go to Motorcycles@DanaPointConcours.org for info and a aplication. Please. This show rivals Pebble Beach so it's a big deal to have bike involved, let's show some cool Nortons!

Hey Calbigbird and Jerry Doe, you both live close and your bikes would be such good examples of (1) Calbigbird's super clean all stock bike and (2) Jerry with all the high quality upgrades that your bike shows, in my opinion better than any bike like it. That is if you haven't sold it. Just a thought. Glenn.
