Doug MacRae had a battle with a 4 cyl Honda 750 at Mosport in Canada a couple weeks ago. This is the biggest race in Canada. Mosport is a high speed horspower track with a long uphill straight. Doug swapped leads several times but could not win. Herb Becker (Doug's tuner) tried adjusting the timing and jetting but could not make up the HP difference with the Honda. Presently his short stroke 750 is very strong between 5000 and 7000 RPM - putting out about 70 HP. More might be available with more development but so far its performing reliably well with the strong mid range. I don't have more details about the rest of the pack or I would mention it. More races are coming up soon and I'm looking forward to the results.

That's a great picture, did you take it??? I would frame it & hang it on my wall..

The guy is an absolute hero. Chews up 'superior' machinery and spits it out. I used to squelch loads of 'better' stuff back in the '70's with my 750 but few would believe it, including me at first. I believed the hype like many.
Great to see someone out there still showing it.
I've been watching his onboard vids for years and loving them.
Cheers, Martin
