Norton V4 1200 trailer

The different weights may have something to do with available options.
On the Norton UK website the V4 1200 RR is supplied with forged alloy wheels, but BST carbon wheels are offered as an option.
There may be other lightweight optional components in the 200 limited edition version.

The specs on the site list the compression ration for the 1200 as 13.8:1.
Holy Sh**!
That's close to diesel CR.

Very nice spec, part with my Commando's or just wait for the wife and kids to come home - I'm sure they understand when I sell them!!

Veeery sexy ! Both weights are quoted in the article, one for SS and one for RR . The footpegs look slippery. The only good news is I still love my Commando!!!!

13.8:1 CR is high, bit for a performance engine, its not outrageously high these days guys. Knock sensors and modern combustion a chamber designs etc mean it'll run on pump gas, but will probably be recommended to use high octane I imagine.

Many modern regular family hatchbacks in Europe are over 12:1 these days.

Engine designers basically want to get the CR as high as they reasonably can wot hint the constraints they face. Actually, they always have!

Absolutely gorgeous, well done Norton!! As an arthritic, poor, old phart I could never afford either, but if I could I would!!
cheers
wakeup

There is a good article on the new Norton's in this months Bike magazine in the UK. In it, they say that the limited run of 200 for the expensive version (£44k) are already all sold !!

I wonder what the road going exhaust will look like ? The system on the bikes at the show are open !
