Fair enough price...should find a ready buyer. Damn shame about not being able to kick them over anymore.

Hi guys, you probably know that a project is underway to provide an electric starter for the P11 and G15/N15 models. See the AJS/M section on this site.
p400, I am sorry to hear about your hip problem. Maybe you'd like to consider hanging on to the bike until the new kit arrives? I have a P11A that will receive the first kit as a demonstrator.

Cheers,
Knut

Congrats, I thought that would be the case. Is your buyer Canadian by any chance?

No overseas sales to what appears, at this time, to be a repetitive/comfortable collector/dealer.
This P11 is a limited production, valuable, appreciating, kickass, macho collector piece.
Everyone has a Commando and a Camaro, now I want a Commando too!

I just happen to have a 68' all original Commando for sale! I would have loved to have that P11 though!!

Thats an XR750 Mert Lawwell nickel frame and Mert's custom rockers plus a Jim Kelly motor. It took second at "Legends of the Motorcycle" show in it's class. It is street legal in Calif also and comes with a custom starting block. It's for sale also!

I like it, but if I could afford something like that, I probably would have just bought a P11 instead of building one piece by piece.

Doug, completely offtopic to the P11 thread, but is the starter block the lump seen in front of the f/w cylinder? The location must be detrimental to cooling? Btw, I am working with others on a starter kit for the P11!

No the starter block is what you see when racing bikes are started by a set of rollers and a motor that they set the bike on then spin the rear wheel to start the bike. Have you seen the kit that Matt sells at CNW's I have one on my 70' Norton, works great!

Sure. Having a big customer base and an excellent design and manufacturing partner (STS) allows them to produce such a magnificent product. In their shoes I might have taken development yet another step further but that's me.

KNut, I believe what you see there may be a magneto.
