I just got through watching Allen's Honda ST1100 bottom end rebuild. Not only am I impressed with Mr.  Millyard's skill and tenacity for running down a rod knock but I was also thinking about the design of the ST1100 engine. What a marvel of engineering, build quality, function and serviceability. And they quit making it to make the ST1300 mill and then they discontinued that! I believe that one day people will look back and ask "how did they do that?" Kind of like that ask "how did they build the pyramids?" The design and complexity of the ST1100 engine make my Norton look like a push bike by comparison.
