I have a couple of those roll-in wheel chocks - in fact, they're still sitting in the back of my truck. They normally list for about $80 at Harbor Freight, but go on sale all the time for $43-$50. All the mags have HF coupons (Motorcyclist, Cycle World, Motorcycle Classics, Car and Driver, Popular Mechanics, etc.) and their 20% off coupon works on sale items, too, unless its one of those rare coupon-only sale items (can't combine coupons). Plan it right, you can get one of those chocks for under $40. Heavy, but work well.
My table was given to me by a mechanic friend when his shop got Handy lifts. Mine is an Aussie piece, called a Spirit. Uses air to drive a foot-actuated hydraulic pump. Thing weighs under 200 lbs, so I was able to throw it in my truck and bring it home unassisted. Also light enough to slide around the garage.
Kind of a crappy pic, but you get an idea of the lift. It was rusty, so I repainted it in Clark's Lotus color combo.
This is also how I roll the bike on when working on the front end - that way you can secure the rear wheel, then jack up the front.
