Found my OEM fuse holder was frayed , only a couple wires left maybe 3.
Usually I order a new part and install , but I wanted to ride NOW!
Only affecting the cap portion which is directly bolted to Shorai battery.
Putting on magnifying glasses , I found the the fuse touching metal end to be a hollow pop rivet like end, it appeared closed until unsoldered.
Cleaned , fluxed resoldered , done 10 minutes .

So did I. Before my e-start install I had a glass fuse holder that made battery removal simple - pull the fuse and unscrew the ground terminal. But now I have big starter wires and a fused relay and I use all 4 screw terminals on the battery, so the 3AG fuse doesn't make sense any more.

Not as clean as Jerry's, but manageable -

The plastic fuse shown with holder above is referred to as an ATO fuse. The smaller versions used in the latest cars are referred to as ATM. I really hate the ATM style, as they now cram them so tightly into the fuse blocks on cars and trucks that you can no longer remove them with your fingers. Also, the ATMs have smaller contact surfaces and are prone to melting the fuse blocks. The original ATO configuration are extremely reliable. They are definitely an upgrade over the OEM Bussman glass inline fuses and holders.

I've done that many times. What do you do when the "little hollow rivet" as you refer to the contact plate, is missing or damaged? Place the holder over the wire. Strip about 3 inches of the insulation off the wire. Coil the bare wire to mimic the size and shape of the original contact plate. Now, just below your coiled up section, bend the bare wire 90 degrees and center it under the coil. You want to form it so that it sits into the area of the holder where the contact plate goes. Slide the holder away from the bare, formed wire. Solder the formed wire, let cool and insert it back into the holder. Fixed and it still looks OEM.
