A couple of photos of Kane Burns riding the Norton ES4 at the Australian Historic Championships (Morgan Park Qld), last weekend. With four wins from four starts Kane is the 2020 P3 500 champion. (P3 - pre December 31st 1962 class in Aus). Kane is a tall lad and wearing some of his old race leathers, hence their non period "colour".

Geoff should that be the 2022 Champion, not 2020, good result either way.
Best regards

These Ozzie ES2s and the NZ Lodge ES2 are just amazing machines. Together with the Lindsell Enfield from England these 3 machines are the ultimate pushrod singles in the world. All three routinely beat the OHC bikes of the era and many more modern machines.

In Australia P3 is a methanol class and two-valve Jawa engines are eligible. A friend of mine was playing with Matchless singles - bought a Jawa engine and was immediately faster than any of the Manx Nortons. Jeff Clatworthy has a fast ES2 in Victoria which Bob Rosenthal rides. Recently I watched him lap a whole field in about two laps of a race on a 3 kilometre curcuit.
