Norton Commando Jacket Sale @ MotardInn

Hello Italia , Just bought one in Black color and the code is 15BF . The other color is light brown (cognac). You must be skinny if you can wear a Med size :) . I went for XL I need to put thick shirts underneath. Thanks , I always wanted a genuine Norton leather jacket !!

Ha! My dyslexia (15BF yes). Somewhat unusual that pricing was based on size but I guess they have more Medium than other sizes so they're cheaper - not sure. Not a huge fan of the cognac color but I've always leaned toward black leather. They have web stores for other genres of gear (TrekkInn for outdoor clothing, etc.)

Looks like there's an embroidered Norton logo on one shoulder and no more. No armour and no sure of leather quality/thickness at that price point. Would make a nice walk around item but maybe not so good for riding protection.

All these Jackets may be well made and have a direct link to the Norton brand but none of them are Bike wearable based on the labels, they are for fashion only as they do not commit to offering any protection by meeting the standards for protective wear.

I have one of the earlier Bomber Jackets and like it a lot but it's never going to be on my back whilst on a motorcycle.

Does anyone ever pay full price for the Norton Motorcycle clothing?

Are they known to be associated with Norton or just some basic jacket with Norton logo added?

You will also find them on

So they do start off for sale under Norton control, then once the initial keen punters pay full price they get released to the clearing houses. Even if you disagree with the use of the brand under current ownership (even prams for a time ?) ,it is protected diligently, good money was paid for the intellectual property and that investment is defended.

Wear a Knox armoured shirt underneath

I saw them at the Norton Shop in Soho , but the prices were much higher . I bought the long sleeve sweat shirt light tan with black Norton logo on front . This was 75 pounds . And it is this sweat shirt I plan to use under this nice leather jacket in colder weather .

I had my retro style Triumph brand leather jacket altered down a size and the motorcycle jacket maker that did the work said he was very impressed with the leather thickness and heavy duty stitching. It is an armoured jacket.

From what I gather the clothes are manufactured under license by the Pepe Jeans brand. Pepe were big in Europe in the 80's. Sizes are small by USA standards so go up one size larger for ideal fit.

Agreed , I had to buy the XL size of the jacket you see in my avatar here.

Agree. Lack of armour, rear not cut long enough, arms not contoured, no shoulder stretch panels. Good for a short trip to the pub if the price is right.

That is correct , spot on

Also it is Goat leather from Pakistan, i bought the commando one on sale from the london shop by i wasn't happy with the quality of the zips so exchanged for a different model that cost a bit more. Same leather, very comfortable and looks good (as did the commando version) but definately for casual wear. I have used mine in the summer but really dont feel that protected. So got one of the knox urban pro jackets as recommended by Clive
