Hi to to you all. I am looking to purchase some Petrol Tank Knee pads for my Bike, its JPS colouring so if anyone can recommend a potential manufacturer/supplier would be great. I have had a Custom seat made with additional padding at the from and Alcantara both of which has drastically reduced me sliding forwards. But a pair of Knee grips would add a great final touch especially when cornering etc. Thanks and stay safe. Simmo

Interesting, my legs don’t go anywhere near the tank. I’m 6 ft. The position of the pegs, the deep scallops of the tank and general riding position see my legs sitting well out from the tank. I would have to contort them inwards to grip the tank which would doubtless feel unnatural. DOH! Just realised that you are probably not riding a Cafe Racer, which definitely forces your legs to a different position.

I’ve had a look at this in the past until I realised that it was’nt an issue for me. There are lots of generic ones about like these from Oxford that may be able to be trimmed to fit (unlikely though) - they are all over fleabay. R&G do tank traction sheets, from which you can form your own. The other option is to use Clearguard; it will protect your tank, is almost invisible but will not provide grip. A vintage look pair would look pretty cool methinks. Please share if you find any. Good luck Simmo.

Hi - This guy makes tank pads and such which are are raised and quite grippy. He has made a few bits for me and a very good guy to deal with.

Hi Stephan. Thanks for your reply and I have a sport 961 not a Cafe Racer so it does make a difference. Thanks for your advice ad I will look at these two sites you have mentioned. I have also mailed Norton to see if they can advise and also posted to other groups. Take care and stay safe. Simmo

Hi thanks for your message. I am actually looking for simple self adhesive Tank pads not these, but it would help rather than just jeans. Simmo
But these will protect your knees.
