I had the same response when I was looking around for another bike, I was offering either the XR or my CR as potential px as one of them would have to go.  The dealers were just not interested in the Norton one iota but fortunately the XR sold privately almost immediately so the 961 was saved.... whether the Norton resale market improves in time i'm not sure, it has very bad press.
