norton atlas

A bit harsh innit?

They announced a ‘concept’ CR… ie a V4 with the fairing removed.

Still a concept…
Took the fairing off, copied the quickly dropped 1967 Earls Court show Fastback orange seat.

Confirms they announced nothing ;) .

Well, you clearly underestimate the expense, hard work and multi national design team effort required in removing a fairing and sourcing an orange seat…

Forgive me… couldn’t resist it…

Felt rather sorry for him actually: "May I separate you from £44,000" for one of our lovely V4s?" Well I have a 961, currently off the road, which you are not going to diagnose, service or support with spares and so is currently worthless and you want me to convince my wife that buying another Norton at over twice the price is a sound investment?
How about you try to explain to her that yours is a completely different company with the same name and logo making identical bikes so that argument isn't valid. I am fully trained in first aid.......

Scrap models SG created? That’s all they got.
The 19 Nov 22 is nigh Voodoo! I’m really hoping there’s good news, lest your head explodes - Lol :D!

Well, I was referring to the "classically" styled Nomad and Atlas models.
Youngsters like their bright colors, sharp angular body components, and trendy product names like, Streetfighter, Fireblade, Ninja, etc... Nomad and Atlas names are not going to evoke performance imagery in the adolescent mind.
I think the 650 powerplant can be competitive with some engineering refinement, but it has to go into a bike that will sell to the broader (younger) market.
Remember the 650s were going to be the affordable Nortons, that means for younger riders, right?

The sentiment sounds true but to be fair I don’t think the young are that interested..
Generation sensible is I believe what they are called..
Go explore on a motorcycle by myself!!!

I guess it depends on who the young or younger are:

Boomers/geezers
Gen X
Millennials
Gen Z

I think there will be enough folks interested.
At least enough to make it worthwhile for manufacturers to scrap over.

I’m a Gen x 51 year old. Good luck finding many from my generation that’s interested or wanting a new Norton.
Many in my generation don’t even know who Norton is. Same goes for MV Agusta.

Ask them about a Japanese or ducati their eyes light up.
Who could be the face for Norton…
Moto Guzzi have Ewan McGregor…
Keep it clean

Got to be a Brit I suppose, but they just killed James Bond off! Shame really, he had a couple of Dommies in his garage!!

lets not get ahead of ourselves. They don't even advertise with a motorcycle yet!
Just good fun to imagine who would make a good spokesperson for Norton.
Maybe they should have several spokespersons, and call the group "The League of Distinguished Norton Owners."
Their motto could be "If it ain't a Norton, It's crap.";)
