The shocks were supplied and fettled by Robert Taylor at Kiwi Suspension Solutions in New Plymouth, NZ. It took a bit of to-ing and fro-ing to convince Robert that I was prepared to let him do it his way - i.e "proper", as opposed to "for the lowest possible price", which included him setting up and fitting the shocks. Once we were singing from the same songsheet, it was plain sailing.

Ludwig's bike is a work of art. His head steady is amazingly simple, which is why I copied it for my 2 bikes.
As for a daily rider, I live 4 minutes drive form my shop, and it takes me a good ten minutes to get all my leathers on , get the bike out and start it. A no brainer really but I do enjoy the odd occasion I do take it to work. I am also 30 seconds from an 80 kph area and 5 mins from the open road with one roundabout and one stop sign along the way. I usually go joy riding for over an hour when i feel like it, but lately, I have only done 1200 miles since the last 6 month wof inspection and that included the Taranaki Rally. Unfortunately, what happened to Mark has left a lot of us with something to think about. It still bugs me. I rode many miles round NZ in his company when going to rallies. At some stage we should do a big write uop about him but I think we are all so stunned that we have kept silent.
