Hi All -

I have a contact that can supply me with some replacement body parts for my 2015 961 sport. Im looking to swap out all the black body and hugger pieces for white.

My question is about the white colors for the modern commandos... The contact person has indicated to me that they do not have pieces in "pearl white", but they have pieces in Carbon, English White or Diamond White.... Im wondering if anyone has pictures of these examples of white? I have a white tank, but i'm not sure if its pearl, English or diamond and Id like to see what kind of white I should be requesting.

I believe Dream Machine painted the Norton’s in the UK.
Maybe contact them for advice.

Mine was painted by the excellent Dream Machine in 2017 before they moved painting in-house. Don't be surprised if, as soon as you mention Norton they put the phone down.....

Seemed to be another happy collaboration with a supplier.
 
Mine is an 'English' white, thought Clem at the factory referred to it as 'Old English' which seems more appropriate as it is more a clotted cream colour than a white.

You might need to explain clotted cream to our overseas friends - good luck with that one;)

Oh dear. People still don’t get it.
I do not remember the Commando being launched originally in black. Posters on my adolescent bedroom wall showed scantily clad ladies on lovely colourful Commandos.
They even showed Clint Eastwood on his metallic blue Commando.
The Commando to me is a early 70’s bike, not 50’s.
Orange is the new black.

Let’s face it the Commando is bloody sexy in any colour..................................................................................................., as long as it’s black! ;)

No, but I did have it with Dr Martin boot laces on the gear lever!

Keep them loops short and tuck ‘em in...

No, but the centre stand pad did go through the sole of my old worn boots as I attempted to put a Mk3 on it's stand outside Camden Tube... lost my balance, bike fell on top of me with my boot still locked on to the centre stand. I had to ask a passer by to undo my boot buckles so I could wiggle out from under the bike lol

I've had that with fresh berries on a scone in England and its quite delicious, however, words like "clotted" do not fare well with such an elegant food. Kind of a gross term, actually.:(:eek:
Sounds like sucking milk straight out if a sick cow.

The debate over here isn't around clotted/whipped/consistency/colour but more importantly whether you put the cream layer under the fruit or on top of the fruit! Seriously, you can start a FB war over how a scone should be filled!

thanks to DNA testing, I'm now 54% German and 46% UK.......That said, I've had my fill of Limberger and Leiderkranz (not my cup of tea).....Not in a rush to try Stinking Bishop. Damn, now I have to try the bloody stinkin cheese. Thanks a lot.
