Here is my latest project for touring . I may start a new thread so it is easier to find . We discussed my legs cramping up on the long runs when I was at Cootes. And the highway pegs seem to be the best solution for it.

I am using Norton factory motor mount plates which work perfect for the job !

Hey ! Maybe Norton will like my idea so much that they will use it on the 961 California , and give it that real cruiser attitude ? This would be perfect with the California high bars.

Very innovative Tony, look like there ment to be there & also look like they double up as “crash bars”

Thanks Richard , I'd hate to fall on these it would cause lots of damage .

Nice work, I quiet often get cramped with my dodgy knee, did you just get the mounts from Norton direct? And did you buy the stainless bolt covers off the shelf or make them up yourself?

The black motor mount plates are from Norton and the rest is off the shelf parts. Do you want a list of what parts you need to do this ? I can post it soon.

Hey TonyA,
Yeah could list a list of parts needed. Looks pretty simple. I've been try to figure a way to lower the pegs. My rt knee is shot. It keeps me off the bike more than I like.
I did the ROK bar riser. Works pretty well. 7/8" up & 1 1/8" with no other mods. That is the most I could get without extending stuff.

BRILLIANT!! Tony. You've saved many a knee. Now....anybody using a bar end cruise control??? Bad knees, carpal tunnel. At least I have a hard ass so the seats fine for now.

It just keeps getting better. And I thought Jesse James and Orange County Choppers were cool. (not really into the theme bike scene)
