No spark

Have a 72 Combat, the bike sat for 2 1/2 years. All was right when the bike went to storage. Tried to kick it over this weekend and no spark. Is there something that can go bad from sitting, or where would I start to look?

Start with the battery, of course.

The, clean the points; then possibly replace the large Blue 2MC capacitor.

Always use fresh spark plugs on a "make-run".

If after the simple stuff has been done and there is still no spark, change the points capacitors, they may have gone bad.
