No more single seaters

Told thats it for single seats. If you have one, Be great full. Only dual seaters here on out. Tony, can you confirm when at the factory.

I put a single seat tail unit on my dual frame.
Which you can still order.

I love the single seat unit even on my dual frame.

Under 1 hour to change to dual for the summer when the Mrs sometime rides along.
 
Surly this can't be right, the dual seat adds nearly £1000 to the bike. If they stop doing the single seat version they will automatically raise their base price by £1000. That would be a strange move.
 
Considering Norton looks at this forum everyday someone with some knowledge should put this to rest.
 
All 2017 and beyond Norton Commandos will be dual seat and feature USD forks. If you really want a single seat bike you can order it as a bespoke bike as long as Norton has available parts for a single seat bike.

USD forks I fully understand, this leads to greater standardisation of many components (yokes, mudguards, calipers, etc) and, as the RWU forks are also high quality Ohlins, I would be surprised if there was a very big price difference (I know we've all been 'taught' to believe that USD = Better and Better = more £, but when you think about it, there are kinda the same quantity of kinda very similar components involved).

The seat is a different thing though, many people prefer single seat (as proven by the sales) and it's nearly £1000 cheaper.

To force a £1000 'extra' on all customers is a strange move indeed.

I'm not saying that you're wrong BTW, just that it is a very strange, and IMHO, counter productive move.
 
Hello, all Euro 4 spec bikes are dual seat for homologation purposes, however they all come with both the pillion seat, and a colour matched seat cover to make it a single seat

Do you still have single seat humps? For those who may damage one in the future? How long will you stock single seat parts for?
 
I'd have like to seen a redesign of the biposto. Just one longer solid pad with an optional (or included) matching rear cowl kind of like the Beemer NineT. Not too into that little pad you have to install every time you want to go two up. They sell a nice two up seat for the Thruxton for big bucks but you can't throw the cool looking cowl on it. Not that the Thruxton cowl is all that well made anyway.
