Just received my new Don Pender axle and hub assembly. Beautiful craftsmanship. Next stop is Buchanan’s. Never dealt with them, but they seem to have a good reputation. I’ve decided on the 19” Excel WM 3’s, front and rear.

Did Don Pender also make a two piece stainless axle setup? I purchased a used Pender stainless axle and it appears to be identical to the stock configuration. Thank you!

Hi, sorry, I have found Madass' site and now understand what I am holding. He has single replacement axles and complete one-piece. However, I do not see the complete item I am holding but wow this is nice stuff!

Super - this part was purchased from our own Grandpaul. I thought it was the one-piece but in fact it appears to be the standard two-piece with all the fixings. I may put this on my Commano-hubbed Triton.

Good for both you 1973X75 and Jdub , DP really does make nice kit , several years ago now , I mailed Don my bare hubs , he returned them built up with alloy rims , SS spokes and his SS axels for front and rear ( the rear being the one piece setup) have been very pleased with how everything turned out and it all is holding up very well , still looks new and shiny ... you will be very happy with your Madass kit !

very nice but you all you are achieving is looking at some stainless parts, the inherent problems still remain with the original design with
a bigger chance of the longer axle thread galling inside the stub axle,
Also, be careful - the stainless sets that many have are for 68-70 Commandos only - they come from Wassell and are well made. The dummy axel is not the right size for later Commandos.

Everything that I have ever received from Don has been first rate.Especially the front brake!!

I will sell this item. Too many uncertainties.

Thanks for everyone's input.
