New Triumph 1200 Scrambler - Thoughts?

Well, on the subject of Triumph scramblers, I’ve always liked these:

Me too. they sold very well in France apparently. Actually it would be reasonably easy to replicate it I guess.

By the way, my original question about how many bikes are actually manufactured in the U.K. was not meant as a slant, just wondered if anyone knew.

Blimey, that's a sprocket and a half on the Harley !

Cheers,

Cliffa.

I wonder why they don't use the 1200 Thruxton version.
This Scrambler engine is halfway between the Bonnie 1200 and the Thruxton output.
The Thruxton holds the highest torqueline all the way thru.
As far as offroading, a 450 pound street scrambler is pretty useless compared to even a 35 year old 230 lb Enduro like a Maico 490 or any serious modern offroad machine.

Not many purchasers will buy this bike for off road scrambling tho.
It's more to complete a look. Red beard, skinny turn up jeans, work boots and leather man purse are the other parts.

It'll sell.
