Hi guys I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Scott and I'm new to motorcycles so I'll be reaching out to you all to learn about my new bike. I just bought a 2016 Norton Commando 961 SF. I am a car nut and love to race my 2016 Shelby GT350, I also have a all original 1956 ford F100 that is all original including the paint, engine, drive train, interior etc. it has less then 28000 original miles. My interest in vehicles are wide spread but my choice are Fords only. I've always loved the look of classic cafe racer bikes and always wanted one, when I seen the Nortons I had to have one! I look forward to reading your forum and I can't wait to learn more about this awesome bike!

Hello Voodooo , Please update your information so we can see where you are from . I am from Milwaukee , says so in my profile. So when we advise you to go to a dealer we know which one etc.. But the 2016 bike should be pretty much sorted out. Give us a few pictures of it different sides etc. and we will start there. By the way I love Shelbys too rag tops though .

Hello Tony!
I'll post pics ASAP!
Being that in new to this Bike and Nortons, what should I know? Anything in advance would be great!
Cheers to being a Shelby fan! Although mine is a 2016 with a stock hp rating of 526hp with a flat plane crank, after prototyping headers and a tune I'm up to 603 hp on 93 octane gas. With 100 octane Sunoco 260 GT race fuel I'm at 639 hp.

Anyhow, I love the bike and can't wait to learn more about it!

You will probably want to look at the manuals section of CNW ( Colorado Norton Works ) Richard Coote has written a bunch of manuals and they are listed there. He goes by Richard-7 and he is a great help. Any way , you want to get that tranny/primary case vented asap. Its all sealed up from the factory and we have been venting them through the fill plug . You need to release the pressure in there that will stop leaks etc.. If you PM Richard-7 or me your email address we will send it along to you. Also , because you have a true 2016 ? Then you should have the oil in air box fix already installed . Is there a small black plastic box in your crankcase breather hose leading to the air box ? That's why I asked for the pictures . Anyhow there is a lot to cover but your a quick learner I can tell . Remember to break it in according to the manual and retorque the head right after break in 800 to 1000 miles.
