Hi All
Well my 850 Noton Wideline Featherbed is on the road and going great, now need a new project to keep me out of trouble, have just gone to look at a 1960 650SS Norton Slimline Featherbed, its all pulled apart but everthink is there, I have known the owner for many years and run into him at a party last week, he asked me if I was intrested in it as he knows I'm a Norton freak and want it to go to a good home, he broke his neck a few years ago and not intrested in getting on a bike now, he gave it to me realy cheap so couldn't knock it back...
Has a 5 gallon alloy tank (new never been on the bike), Bennett alloy rims, alloy oil tank, high comp pistons, all motor parts are in good condidtion (just needs to be reassenbled), Roadholder front end has been rebuilt and gear box is all together, the only thing missing is the seat, for $1,500 au I can't go wrong...
Will build it as a caferacer but for road use, my yongest daugther who is bike crazy like myself she is 13 years old so will be a good bike for her when she is old enough to get her licence, she has been into dirt bikes sense she was 9 years old and is a natual on the bikes...
I will post some pics when I get the bike home next weekend...
All the best and safe riding
