Finally got through to Norton. They have had some problems with the new phone system and new 0121 numbers. Our overseas cousins might be surprised that something as simple as a local PABX is difficult to get working but you have to remember that in the United Kingdom of Engle Land most businesses still rely on owls for communication....

Apparently my Norton must remain off the road for the want of a throttle cable. John in parts will see if anyone knows if I can buy an oem part from somewhere else. Also waiting on a call from Krazy Horse.......
Call Ollie for throttle cable.
He has a lot in stock. (OEM)

So I have to send to Germany for a cable when I know that there is a big box of them a few hundred yards from where I liveo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O. Maybe I should start digging a tunnel..............

Thanks for that info. I thought he might. I fitted an emergency cable on to get me to work.

Clive, what is that by the back gate, packing crates ?
Not sure - couldn't quite work it out, it's quite big. Could be one on these;

can you get there during the day to count the cars/bikes... just to see how many are working day to day!
No - the front gate is locked and the back gate is closed guarded by a man in a gatehouse. A bit different to Donington Hall....

I wonder if Norton's going-forward strategy makes more sense than the end of the 2001 film?
It's just the latest fuzzy logic AI - driven corporate planning.
They don't want to expend capital opening the factory if it turns out that COVID will wipe out the entire human race.
That would be a waste, with no hope of any ROI.

But TVS Motors premises in India don't seem to have fences around them and security guards. So the guard on the TVS Motors gate at Solihull guards what exactly??
