New to me Anniversary Sport; nicely run in at 1,700 miles so happy days ahead.

So different from my RSV4 RF and Panigale but in a beautiful, rumbly way :)

Gee....Ya think?? Good luck with your absolutely stunning Norton. It doesn't look like a 200HP grasshopper.

Nice looking steed sir.

Where in the Cotswolds are you? I was near Burford till a few years back, now in Oxford for kids schooling etc!

There’s at least one other forum member in Oxford too (Ben) and we keep threatening to have one last ride out before the weather turns. Perhaps we could all meet up somewhere?

I'm down in the south Cotswolds in the Cirencester/Criklade area...a meet up would be great.

Hey there, yep I'm based about 2 miles away from Nigel (Fast Eddie), planning a ride out in the next few weeks, so we could swing by the Cotswolds :)

If that ring is there due to fork action, there’ll be a mark on the top of the mudguard from hitting the oil cooler!

The oil lines really need trimming and cable tying to tuck the cooler in so it’s more parallel with the frame down tube.

Kinda like this:

Yes but the factory are making that mod now on first service and new bikes would not be affected.

I was in the factory a few weeks ago signing off my bike and asked whether there had been a frame mod to move the oil cooler away from the front guard. I was told there had but to me the cooler is still not parallel to the frame like what Fast Eddies is. They have certainly tightened up the hoses which is a good first step. Pity there couldn’t be some elbows fitted to make it even better. Saying that I have not managed to bash the (standard) front guard yet but then I am still running in.

Yes, I’ve heard that too.

Not seen any evidence of such yet though. Even the new Street looks to have the same issue...

Mine has been fixed at first service and the mark that it had made on the carbon mudguard was polished out. I have done 700 miles since and no further marks despite being a 100kg lump and some hard braking. It did hit one of those raised sections in the road recently in Uppingham a bit hard and I think it clunked but no marking occured.

Your brackets look like they are approx. 90 deg to the frame, or is that an optical illusion? My brackets are pointing skywards compared to yours.

Are you sure Mark?

My cooler was no where near parallel to the frame tubes initially, but it was the pipes pushing the cooler forward and causing it to tilt in the rubber mounts.

Hmmm... interesting... one would hope that the more critical frame dimensions are a little more tightly controlled...?!
