That looks like a Godet frame to me ...?
Yes it is. I bought it from Fritz Egli Sr and it is the frame that he got from Patrick Godet as a "payment" for using the Egli Vincent name on the Godets bikes.

Well hopefully later this Corona year I will have the motor running. Will for sure post a video when that days comes!
Fritz Egli Jr is building it for me in Switzerland. Himself a Ducati and Vincent motorcycle racer.

That alloy UFM looks nice. I wouldn’t use it though if it were me... Egli every time IMHO...

This, I would say, is a rather nice new built bike based on that alu frame. Glen, building on what you created with Glenli, the 1360. Praise!

When he passes, He FLIES past and he has the sense to be very careful with the back markers.

A 1330cc engine like you‘re building is awesome. Mine has nickasil liners, mag cases, squished heads, 105 cams, 5 speed box. I find it remarkable how good it is. I’m guessing TP cams will be more modern than the 105s, and maybe you’ve got posher head work etc. So yours is going to be even better.

Back to your question of which frame, I’d say it comes down to what your aiming for at the end. If you’re aiming for a special with a modern take, then the alloy frame would be a good foundation. Conversely, if you want what is simply the most drop dead gorgeous classic motorcycle ever, but with a modernised performance that will surprise, even shock most people. Then its the Egli.

I love the purity of race bikes. So looking at the pics of Fritz Jr’s bike above, I can easily see the appeal of a TPV inspired race rep of that nature.

But in my personal view, that ‘21st century Vincent’ has about as much appeal as a ‘30s blower Bentley done by ‘Pimp My Ride’ !

The Egli, like the Black Shadow, or Bruff SS100, or blower Bentley, or Colt 45, is a design classic.

All only IMH (and biased) O of course.

I seems to keep evolving. The original Egli-Vincent was seen by some Vincent owners as a corruption of the original Vincent. So some did not like that at the time. Enough time has passed that the Eglis and the twin shock Egli replicas are seen as Classics.
In the 80s Terry Prince, the man who fabricated most of the original Eglis, made a
monoshock version. He hoped to go into production with those, but that did not work out. A few were built, some time passed and those are now considered classics.
This fellow has built ( or more accurately, hired people to build) a TPV type monoshocker with all of Terry's latest stuff. He's added a lot of curves to the style. I quite like that.
He might need to wait 20 years or so for it to be called a classic, but in the meantime it looks to be a very nice ride!

Here's an original.
That fuel tank shape was used on a number of early Eglis. I saw one close up at a rally and I haven't been quite right ever since!
I guess it holds a lot of fuel.
Those that own them treasure them. Eye of the beholder as to what is a desirable classic.
Time passage and memory loss help.
I remember my ES2 as a fast bike!

May I ask what type of coating or paint has been applied to the magnesium cases? Thanks for posting this, it promises to be stunning, to say the least.

When I look at the magnificent engine, I keep wondering what the heck the other british manufacturers were thinking. No aspirations it seems & not invented here .....

The surface treatement is chemical. I’m not sure but I believe it is called pickling in English. Sometimes it appears like gold also. You need to paint it as i final step.
