Would not trust Skinner he must have had a hand with sub standard parts, and stripping the V4 to keep things moving. He has been kept on as he has a good technical eye. Lets hope somebody else will make the right decisions.

Now I know why they brought SS back . ! This way he already knows all the problems in his bikes , and he has perfect cover too !
He just blames SG , SG said NO , SG said too much money , SG said etc.... They have lots of the previous employees too , so you decide good or bad Scott ??

Really, if he knew the bikes were unsafe which they clearly are and many in the trade have known for sometime, then he should have voted with his feet like others did.
 
Unsafe , I did not say . I said problems . Where do you think the fault list came from ? It most likely came from Norton records. Everybody at the Norton company knew of the problems , the customers calling in issues etc... So back to what I wrote above : Bringing back SS was a good move at least for now I say , especially if they intend to make that V4 1200 . And now back to a brighter day , I like the look of it in the rotary racer black with gold & silver stripe !

When the list includes potential brake failure and fire, it’s kinda hard not to say they‘re unsafe.

To your second point, you buy a JPN tribute. I’m waiting for the de tuned, naked, full carbon, 1200 Combat (which only exists in my head btw). I’d buy something like that, provided it doesn’t come with a list of faults !

Whilst we are eager to begin production of the Atlas as soon as possible, precision and craftsmanship simply cannot be rushed.

We had originally aimed to begin production later this year, but this will no longer be possible. We are still defining the new timeline, taking into account the work that needs to be done. As soon as we are ready, we will provide you with an update.

Yeah, the list of faults does include some alarming problems, brings to mind the 1978 Ford Pinto exploding gas tanks.

I to would be interested in a naked version of the V4 with decent ergos, better suited to my rapidly aging body.
Maybe naming it Combat is temping fate a bit, instead how about the Norton HAVOC!!!!

Well , seeing that this V4 will cost as much as all my current bikes combined ! And probably more o_O ! You can buy a Supercharged KAW for a fraction , they have a long way to go folks. Get going Norton , try to win me back . Right now my feet are cold !
 
I guess we’ve all got ‘skin in the game’ and I don’t just mean dollars. We’ve all invested time and for most, no small amount of enthusiasm and passion for the bike and the marque. I for one am happy to wait for Norton to get their shit in one sock, introduce some quality systems and come back ready.

TVS having worked with with Suzuki in the past and currently BMW, be assured they can and will and certainly have the mechanical expertise to boot. The big problem they have is not building a bike - loads do that, but building a Norton, that sprinkle of Norton magic dust is the hard part.
At the moment it looks like not only Norton but also TVS are undergoing some serious leadership changes to expand globally, from the names so far it looks like they will push TVS into a global known brand of which Norton will be the premier end,
