New British Invasion?

I'm sure they'll sell more than 1000 bikes if they promote them properly. They will appeal to the 'old skool' set and those just wanting to be different I guess.

I can't see them taking much market away from Harley though...

I test rode one recently, out of curiosity I guess, it didn't feel much like an old Brit banger to me, it felt quite modern I thought. But OMG... it was SO slow !!

BTW, expect this thread to get moved soon...

Aesthetically, its a cool bike. At 27hp, no thanks. An acquaintance of mine has one. Lost the exhaust on the first day. Needs a lot of wrenching or the parts just fly away.

And to make matters worse, I believe the 27bhp claim is 'quite' optimistic.

Yes, G81, made in India (since the 1960s actually).

Yeah, but I think the folks importing them into US are intending to market to beginning motorcyclists and women who are interested in lighter weight and not concerned about HP. Low cost is part of their plan also.
I don't know how much the old brand name will effect buyers in this category.
Doubt many have every heard of the Royal Enfield name.
