Gday All, not sure if everyone has seen these awesome machines now being built by two brothers in Melbourne, Australia. These guys are pretty clever making the majority of parts themselves including their own flatslide carbs. This version is a whopping 165 Hp but if you like a tamer version, 135 hp is available.check them out at http://www.irvingvincent.com/bikes
Below are some pics taken at the recent Classic Bike races at Philip Island.

Oh, how I wish I had a huge stack of play money.

Not just to buy some of the bikes I've seen that I really like, but to take them out on the vintage roadracing circuit!

Thanks for posting. I had never seen one before as I'm not that into Vincents but this is tres serious!

Yeah .. maybe but, I still would love one. I think ones face would ache from the constant big grin!

That's a whole lot of linkage for the shifter!!!

If they had just put it on the correct side in the first place...

Which would be the right side, correct?

yes, but thats a crossover linkage because they have a "young" rider who probably has never ridden a bike with RHS gear lever....3 of our 5 Rob Norths have crossover linkages too, due to rider preference!! I find it a pain when I go out on my 851 and have to think every time i want to change gear!!

With me I have seven bikes and only one with right hand change, the Norton. I got by riding it last year with no frights, but only by not riding it as hard as I like. I may consider changing it over to the other side for shift and brake yet. My bike is already so modified that I would not be changing something classic.

If I ever got a modern bike I'd move it over to the right side.

Thats why a Guzzi as a modern looks a option to me, the engine was designed for right hand change and still should be easy to convert back depending on the year.

My Eldo has left side gearshift, one up, four down....

Gearbox SUX, by the way. Probably just mine....
