Nemesis

Did y’all see the bit about the record they’re going for? LSR on a V8 motorcycle? Set in the early 1900s by a bloke who put an aeroplane engine into a basic chassis and did nearly 140mph !!!

Got me thinking a good stock modern normally aspirated V8 car engine puts out over 500bhp, putting one of them into a chassis (like Millard did with his V10) would easily break Cole’s record on the Nemesis (when he’s done it)…
and what about the Drysdale V8??

You think somebody would try a boss hog

Mr Cole
Who would invite him round to their place lol.
Id like to buy that would x take it?
No Henry not a kin chance!😂

meanwhile, Alan M. found a lot of water in the sump, and they didn’t seem to explain whether that was sorted at all before running it along the front drive. It is going to be continued during this series....

Alan did say that his theory was that it was a micro leak that had been dripping slowly, but constantly, for 25 years.

So I’m guessing that as they only mean to do a LSR, a handful of miles, it’ll be alright.

I understand a lot of people find Henry irritating. However, I watched him being interviewed as part of the Brooklands series , and I have a lot more time for him since then. He is the instigator of the programmes, and in the ‘presenter’ role, he never claims to be knowledgeable, just enthusiastic, which is vital on TV to make it communicate to the viewer. It is very easy to stand on the sidelines and criticise, however doing it is a whole other thing.
For me it's not about whether he's knowledgeable or not
It's his manner
The way he talks
The way he acts etc irritates the hell out me
I understand he's popular and brings light entertainment and motorcycling in general to the public
Which is a good thing
But Gary Lineca ,Philip Schofield , Jeremy Vine etc are popular with the public
Personally I can't stand them
Hope to god none them take up motorcycling

Looking Back....The first
Glen Curtiss took this motorcycle to the Florida Speed Carnival at Ormond Beach in January 1907. He recorded a record-setting speed of 218 kph (136 mph) during his run. He was dubbed "the fastest man on Earth."

The Curtiss V-8 motorcycle was a 269 cu in (4,410 cc) V8 engine-powered motorcycle designed and built by the aviation and motorcycling pioneer
