I understand. One thing I noted is, are you aware of shims (packing) used with the U bracket? They are mentioned in the spares list (#029849). Also, examine the rear loop for possible deformations. I have a repro here if you need measurements.If I were you, I'd start at the front end, then fix the middle bracket, and finally adapt the rear loop, if necessary. The loop and the mudguard itself are both vulnerable parts and may have distorted.I have a genuine alloy rear fender off a '65 model here, in case you need to verify hole spacing etc.- Knut
