Does anyone have the length of the extensions that were welded on? Mine have been ground down to the original stand and I’m going to weld some new ones back on.

Thanks!

I have one at home that I can measure. Should be home tomorrow evening if no one answers beforehand.

Just measured mine, 7/8", some wear but not much.

Sorry about the delay but I got snowed in up north.
My stand is from a G80CS which has the same frame but there must be some differences (wheel sizes, fork length?) because my extensions are 2 1/8"

The extensions were 7/8" for the G15CSR and GMk2 (same as 1960-62 G12CSR), and about 2" for the G15CS/N15CS.

Triumph2: I believe you have a genuine G15CS stand. From 1962 up, the G80CS came with long travel forks and the factory fitted 1-3/4" extensions according to AMC-expert Don Madden.

For the G15CSR & Mk2 models, an extension of 7/8" is insufficient to clear the rear wheel off the ground. This has probably as much to do with the extension size as the fact that the stand is completely inadequate for these heavy bikes and deforms easily.

Correct stands are depicted here:

Please note an improved stand made in the UK has been available since last year. The stand has received a lot of praise. Fitted with the correct extension, it will positively lift the rear wheel off the ground. Send me a PM and I will forward details.

Hi Knut,
Do you know where I can get the new centrestand? I’m restoring a N15CS and it doesn’t have one.

Thanks,
Mark

My MK2 has not extension and has rear wheel 18 free.
My N15 has about 1 inch with 18 rear wheel.
My 33 has 2 inch with 19 rear wheel.

Odd, I can't access the Jampot link even when I'm logged into the forum. Says I don't have permission. Is there any public-facing info on it?

I don't think so. This was a private undertaking which got a lot of attention within the Owner's Club. I can pass on contact details if you are seriously interested.

Thanks! Wouldn't call myself seriously interested; just wanted to take a look and, if it was available, know a price.

For an updated price you need to inquire with Rob. I paid GBP 45.00 for several stands in a semi-finished state as I wanted to do some mods to them. It's possible I was given a discount. I believe the finished powdercoated stand was £55 or thereabout in 2018. Probably a bit more today.

I have no probs getting at the thread once I 'm logged into the forum (just wait a sec for the link to pop up). If it doesn't work at all, please search the Forum for "New centre stand fitted" by MalcW. You will find a picture in the very same thread.
