I am struggling what to put mine down as, I bought it almost stock, original, but to then put it safely onto the road I replaced a few bits and pieces
tyres & tubes , forks & yokes
brake disc, master cylinder, caliper & hose
handlebars
headlight glass, LED bulbs, wiring harness
fuel taps & hoses
wheel bearings front and rear, both axle shafts, drive chain,
CNW starter setup, so new clutch, belt drive, chaincase inner, air filter
lithium battery, electronic ignition, solid state rectifier, single 12v coil
new exhaust pipes, new peashooter silencers, new cotton reel mounts everywhere
oil filter, new hoses, new clips, replaced most nuts and bolts with stainless

I‘ve still got the original clutch cable does that help?

I think I’d better tick them all bar the last
No, if it's only one bike, you'd tick the lowest applicable box.

I have reduced the master cylinder diameter, it does have a Boyer ignition fitted and it has a quartz halogen bulb in the headlight.
...
Anyway, I believe my bike is ‘original’ for what it’s worth.

Not original. Lightly modified.

If I click on each vote option the usernames show even when I'm logged out so I don't think it's because I'm the moderator.
Fixed the wording, thanx.

I didn't even bother to see that one could click like that...

I'd like to see the poll reach 100 votes, just to have a decent, round sampling number for percentages.

There is definitely a trend as to the highest percentage - Restored/Refurbished to lightly modified spec.

The LOWEST percentages were somewhat of a given...

Hey Shane,
Does that motor run as good as it looks?
Very nice!
Mike
Thanks Mike...Very much so...had 32 years of trials and tribulations.
I'm on the 4th cam and now happy with the 1/4 race Megacycle grind with radius followers and a lightend valve train with a bench flowed head.....

Nothing wrong with a stock Commando with some slight enhancements.
Number 1...Relieve crankcase pressure
Number 2...Ditch or modify the front master cylinder
Number 3...Ditch the stock head steady and improve the isolastics.
Or not!
