Well, we had snot, I mean snow yesterday, not that it did anything, but last couple days have been windy and cold, froze last night, prolly not like NS. Today was brutal, like said, April is the cruelest month.

Bonkers weather here. it was 25º C. here yesterday, all the cherry trees are in full blossom and the garden is covered in Primulas, however on Monday it's going to be 27º cooler and snowing apparently.

We don't have 30 solid days of horrible heat you can't even stay out in. Winter here is just dead bug season, mostly. Jan-Feb is 6 weeks of inside and maybe snow. But still here it can be brutal in the summer, humidity is a killer, but at least it's not populated like CA. Summer bugs are horrible however. Ticks, flies and ground bees that will sting as soon as look at you at least in the country. Oh, and don't forget the stink bugs are they in TX yet?

NS, I was there a couple years ago and the roads are nice from Yarmouth to Sydney, bike country, but I don't know if I could put up with the Bay of Fundy freezing over. The cat ferry from Portland to Yarmouth is nice and quick. And they take dogs.

Idaho weather has always been "Don't like the weather? Wait five minutes; it'll change." Highs are reported to be 79F/26C Saturday, then 55F/13C on Monday. 'Guess I won't be riding to work anytime soon.

Prodded my Commando awake from hibernation here at the New Jersey seashore a week or so ago - battery top off and charge , oil and filter change , adjust all adjustables , top off brake fluid , nut and bolt all over , polish & wax , blah , blah , blah ... you get the idea. Next morning beautiful dry 50 degrees and climbing- cloudless sky . Early morning ride out to my fav breakfast stop - out door dining . Perfect day . Next day rain - lousy weather from then on - below freezing tonight and tomorrow. March got it ass backwards this year .

I started riding motorcycles while living in the other Idaho, non potato country. This is me second from the left on my new ‘69 175 Bridgestone on the Hawley’s ranch just north of Moscow. Kyle Hawley fifth from the left. If you’re a farmer you may have heard of Kyle.

Dave , not sure the mother of all Bays ( Bay of Fundy) has ever frozen over , the Strait of Canso between Cape Breton and mainland freezes as does the Northumberland St. separating mainland N.S. and P.E.I. mostly in the shallow harbour and bays though , almost always some open water , in early Spring ice blows down from gulf of St.Lawrence and can jam things up for a few weeks though .... no need for year round ferry anymore since the bridge was built .... back in’70’s going to school on Island I once spent almost 14hrs making 45 minute crossing due to ice pack pushing our boat the wrong way .... glad I had packed a pint of black rum that night ..... was a long hitch hike back to Char,Town in the wee hrs , thankfully my landlady never locked her doors .....

That must have been it, we were in Sydney a couple days and they talked about walking over to PEI. My geography is sketchy at best.

We did drive by Truro on the way back, went up the east side on the way up. I think we stopped there for lunch.

Here , some of best riding is along our coast , a stiff breeze is a constant , usually 40-50 kph with gusts higher , if no wind , it’s “pea soup” thick fog .... most relentless I have encountered though ,was on Canadian Prairies during cross country ride in ‘17 ,2 days of leaning into it to stay on pavement wore this old man out .... got a photo somewhere of rear tire visible wear one side ....

I don't know how high the gusts were. When my wife worked for the sheriff's office people used to ask, "what are blow offs"? The wind not only blows semis off the road but cars and trucks as well. When the wind farm has to cease operations, it is pretty bad.
