I picked up a set of Craven Bags and a mounting rack that I want to use on my 1968 Norton Fastback. The rack was last mounted on a BMW. It seems a bit big for the Norton, but think I can probably use it as it is without any major mods, such as shortening it.
Can anybody provide some advice on the type of mounting hardware I should use to mount the rack to the rear loop on the bike? I am guessing I need some u-shaped brackets that bolt on the rack and tighten up around the loop. But there is not a lot of room between the seat cowl and the loop for brackets. The only mounting hardware I have is the brace that runs diagonally down towards the rear footpegs, but I am not sure what this attaches to. Any advice or a photo of the hardware used on a Norton would be really helpful.
