Since Rossi was riding the Ducati (perhaps before) mufflers have had a mesh over the outlet.Why?Perhaps this was to stop gravel entering when he crashed?Lots of them have this mesh now but not on every muffler and not all the time.I would think the mesh would upset the free exhaust flow?Why is it there?To tame the engine a little?Graeme
