When fitting a Morgo rotary pump to a Triumph, the pressure relief oil passages need to be opened up to deal with the extra flow being released.
This leads some to conclude that they’re kinda a waste of time.
But all that extra oil sloshing around does have a positive impact, it helps the engine run cooler.
I discovered this on a race bike that was struggling with heat.
So folk with tuned engines, or those that tour hard mountains fully laden, or those in hot climates, can still benefit from these pumps, not only the racer boys.
It’s the bleeding issue that puts me off of using them on my road Triumphs.
