Changing the subject slightly Al, that red ES2 of yourn could well be a factory colour - I've seen other pics and tales of red ES2's,and there were some (featherbed) dommies in that colour about then too, have you enquired of the NOC records what they say about that particular one ?Have you delved down under the red, to see if there is any previous trace of stove enamelling, that stuff is difficult to remove entirely....And, being originally stoved enamelled, there won't be any sign of undercoat.If there is, it has been refinished for sure...
