Hello,
Hope you guys can help. I searched and can't seem to find the answer. Apparently the fork lock on my mark 111 is manufactured by Neiman. I don't have the key. I read the lock set on my 75 gets pushed down and out rather than up and out like my 74 850. I have a few questions if you don't mind;
Does the top triple tree have to come off?
It must have to because there is no clearance to push the lock down and out.
How about the split pin or roll pin? How in the world do I get that out?
Normally you would push it through from one side to the other. My lock boss has only one hole so one way in, and one way out.
Should I drill it out? Do I have to drill it out?
I had hoped this would be relatively easy to do but now it doesn't appear that way.
I know the lock itself doesn't offer much as a theft deterrent but never the less, I would like to have it.
I wonder if the Neimen locks have numbers on them? The lock on my 74 had a number on it and I was able to get the key by supplying the number to my local Norton parts supplier.
Thanks for the help,
GS

Mine has a 4-digit number (**39) but it's very faint although reading about Neiman locks it seems this may not be the actual key code.

I changed mine and did not have to remove triple clamp. I don't recall it being very difficult and I'm sure if I was home and could look at the bike I could recall the steps. It'll be a couple of days and I'm sure someone else will respond sooner.
