MK III head steady mount questions

Best guess the settings in the manual and take the bike out for a run. If you get the rumble in the foot rests as you accelerate the adjuster needs tightening. If the rumble occurs on over run it need slackening. Half a turn can too much as you round in on the sweet spot.

Has anyone figured out a way to get at head bolt #1 after this head steady is installed?
I have 2 sets of Craftsman ball-end allen wrenches, they work a treat. Also for removing carbs/intakes, a right bugger of a chore!

That big ol' hole in the top of the box is how you get to the middle screw.

Thanks, but I was referring to the center bolt holding the head to the cylinder block.

Sorry.

For that, I have to use (2) short socket extension and extract them and the socket one at a time with a magnetic pick-up (the kind on the end of a bendy alloy wire)

...and I use a small-headed ratchet; my good craftsman ratchet head won't fit!
