Hi to all Norton owners in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Just wondering if anyone is intrested in meeting up and go for a ride somewhere, BBQ lunch and a chat about our bikes, this could be a one off thing or if we get enough intrest could be a regular thing maybe or it could be a meet up at my place for a few drinks at some stage, open to surgestions if anyone is intrested.

I'm interested, though I have trouble finding time at the weekends. Keep me posted, I'll try to make it but no promises.
My road bike's a Ducati Monster, will I be allowed in? :)

Hi John

Any bike will be allowed as long as you own a Norton, will see how this goes if enough intrest will go from there.

I'm in.

Do any of you guys know what Qantas charges to ship a Norton? Also, do I have to drain the tank?

Yes drain the tank and get some descent fuel while you're here. (as descent as unleaded gets)

Hi Ashley, I'm interested but being a fridge mech. it's silly season for us at the moment.
Mk3 going but scrapes too easy so mountain roads will be a ducati too.

Just take the corners slower if your worried about scraping or get some decent shockies  maybe we could do a run up to Mapelton have lunch at the pub then down tp Pechester and out to Mt Mee, Daybrough for the return ride, just a throught open to surjestions.

Perhaps Sunday week?

"Just take the corners slower if your worried about scraping or get some decent shockies "

That's too good a road to worry about grounding the sidestand bracket and right header, (new Hagons, which I don't rate very highly) 18" wheels don't help.

I'm no hero on corners but "this" Mk3 has clearence issues. Good tourer though. (I didn't think I was that much of a fat bastard either) Just more fun on something that doesn't touch down.
Anyone else have Mk3 clearence issues?

Sunday week sounds good to me, will let a few more know and see what happens.

Maybe we could meet in the middle!! Somewhere like Aussie Combats house South Australia :D

Hi Graeme

Should have saved the pennies and got some IKON shocks and the best part about them they are rebuildable, plus that is why i kept with the 19" wheels plus my exhaust are tucked into the frame and my foot pegs are high no problems at all with scraping but then my 850 is in a Wideline Featherbed
