In the boxes of Norton motorcycle parts I recently acquired from an old friend is a number of roller and ball bearings that are probably used in various models of Nortons.
Example, I am looking at a bearing stamped EE9 made by Fafnir England. And wondering what bike and specification application.

Is there a master list of bearings used in Nortons that identifies them by manufacturer number?
Or cross references them to a Norton part number?
I looked in the technical section on the forum and all I could find is main bearing references.

Good point kommando. The specific bearing I asked about had EE9 etched on it. Looks like the ISO standard bearing designation is R16-2RS. Which doesn't appear to be used on any bikes I have.

As an old imperial sized bearing it looks to be outside ISO and still changes maker to maker, a random pic from Google.

Stock Code: EE9

Thanks 74ok. I was not looking for an EE9. I was interested in knowing if the ones I have were used on Nortons, or any other British bikes I have. Looks like the answer is no, so in the metal recycling bin they go.

Your bearings may well be of interest to others, why not advertise them on eBay ?
Not knowing the application will be no bar to selling just advertise by using the bearing make and number.
Before buying bearings I usually check eBay first in case I can find NOS at a better price than elsewhere, am usually successful.
Maybe a joblot sale for quick sale ?
