Made in England decal rear mudguard

I have an Andover Made in England England decal, is it a sticker or a water slide? No instructions came with it , thanks.

Can't be 100% sure, but it's most likely to be a sticker - the ones I've had from them (the all caps rear mudguard ones, that is) have been transparent vinyl.

My original is a transparent vinyl with gold lettering, I assume AN will be same.

My new rear mudguard bought recently from Andover Norton came wrapped in Italian newspaper printed with scantily
dressed ladies. Presumably the Italian version of our Sun newspaper?

Seemed a bit strange to stick a "Made in England" sticker on a mudguard made in Italy

Thats what the new Triumph does today and they seem to catch hell for it, from some.
The bikes are good and the British design is wonderful so it works for me!
The point about the Italian framed Nortons makes you realize this is not a new thing.

When did they start fitting the Made in England decal?
I don’t recall seeing it on my old 72 fastback.
Or was it only applied to certain models?

It was part of the 061044 750 Commando sticker.

Andover Norton supplied mine for my MK3 and it was a self adhesive sticker. Hop this helps.

It's a sticker. I replaced mine in '74 and somehow ended up with a sheet of 8. This was from a Norton dealer. Still have 7 left but they can't easily be cut apart, just peeled off.

I had some made as I didn't like the clear rectangle backing as it's quite visible. The letters and line are the only sticky bit which I clear coated. Cheaper than AN too, but the letters and line had to be made slightly thicker.
