Is it possible to adapt the automatic advance unit used on the K2F mag from a gear drive to a chain sprocket? I am in search of one for my 88, but I've only been able to find units that are gear driven.
Since they come both ways, AND if one can find the parts, it should be possible to convert one to the other. That is if you also have the tools and expertise.
Chain driven ones are out there ..... no point in converting if you can find one ready to go.
There are shops that rebuild them, mostly in the UK.
