It can't just be me????? At the moment I have two parcels lost in post!!
In the past I have had a mudguard go missing
An engineering level
A new trident t160 primary chain !
A laptop pc
Plus various other items I can't remember at the moment
But I've also had plenty of stuff arrive damaged
Including a tank/seat unit that got run over
A set of big end shells squashed flat
A Suzuki frame that was dropped off the van loading ramp rendering the bearing housing in the headstock D shaped etc etc
I don't understand how these people are so bad at their job ?

Well lately the word bandied about here is “Covid” …. Sorry for your troubles , bites when that type of thing happens …

Up until the two missing today and the mudguard all of the others were pre covid
I'm not really sure why covid would make these parcels more prone to being lost and damaged ?

If it’s international stuff we’re talking about, frankly I am surprised so much stuff DOES get delivered as that industry is in absolute turmoil because of covid... and it was pretty shambolic before covid!

If it’s domestic, then I think Kommando is right and it’s this pingdemic nonsense that’s the cause. Which is something that’s gonna get a lot worse and start hitting us all in unexpected ways unless it’s addressed soon !

And talk of the devil one parcel has arrived but the box is empty
All taped up by the courier!!!

Both domestic parcels

Just checked the tracking again
Apparently both parcels arrived today!!!!! Even though only one has come ?
Also it said the one I received (empty box it had a Kickstart lever in ) had damaged packaging !
So all I have is an empty cardboard box
That'll teach me for wingeing on here about it!!!!

Yep that china virus stole the kicker.. Wonder where else it struck today.

Call me old fashioned/miserable/ a tw*t, even, but when words like: 'pingdemic' enter the mainstream, I know all hope is lost :-(
(Thankfully spellcheck recognizes it as the imposter it is)

It's not as bad as "staycation" in my opinion o_O

A couple of years ago I had 2 parcels go missing ( a cylinder head and a pair of Maxton shocks) sent by 2 separate companies. Somehow the same crap courier company (not one of the major ones) had the delivery outsourced to them. I sat at home all day on the day that they were due to be delivered, but they never arrived. A couple of days later I rang the delivery company (courier) who said they had been delivered and that was that. I told them that they hadn't and the stroppy cow told me that they had been signed for by my neighbours in No14. I again explained that they couldn't have because they were out of the country for a month. She insisted they had been delivered there because I wasn't at home.

About 2 weeks later a car pulled up outside, someone who lived about a mile away who had my parcels. He was working away from home and his elderly neighbour had signed for the parcels without checking who they were for. So, delivered a mile away, the driver swore it was the right address, when challenged said the satnav took him to the wrong address and it was all my fault!

Luckily I did get the parcels though

I had a pair of Armoured Jeans appear as 'delivered' on the couriers website, even though I had not seen hide nor hair of them. Turns out the local agent had delivered them elsewhere because: 'he couldn't find my house'.. Those exact words!! (I'm number 1* in a row of 23 houses, all numbered) So why they went elsewhere I don't know. I so wanted to quiz the driver when they were redelivered (opened of course) but the yellow sod left them with a neighbour...

Understanble.

Instead you could simply write “the uncontrolled rise in numbers of workers forced to isolate due to an over sensitive tracing app driving them out of the employment system and thus creating shortages of goods and services nationwide” I suppose…

In my day it would simply be a 'F*ck up!' or a: 'Clusterf*ck'... But surprisingly in these so called enlightened times when some individual's sexual preferences have to be known to all of us, accepted by us and protected from adverse opinion by law (parts of which I'm okay with)... the word f*ck is still frowned upon :-(

Knock on wood, never had a parcel disappear yet. But thanks to brexit they are delayed at least a week, sometimes a month. Not to mention the extra costs inflicted on parcels from the UK. Rarely had any damaged goods. Must be lucky.

LGBTQ folks still fuck. PC folks won't admit that they do.

Whilst not wishing to appear provocative or dwell on the matter, almost every source out there supports the notion that f*cking is the premise of a male/female relationship. Not being discriminatory, but they are the hard (!) facts :)
(Or am I just splitting hairs?)
