That will work as well. I am interrested in a original paper copy. I bought the bike in 1978 with the manual but the book sadly went missing.

Those were also available from your friendly Norton Dealer for about $20 when these bikes were new.
Still available on fleabay, usually as a photocopy, for about that.
The neat plastic ringbinder may not come with the deal however.

Genu-wine ones still appear now and then - they are by no means rare.
Same with the parts lists in ringbinders to the same look and design.

Thanks Mike, I have other after market manuals but I would like an orginal paper version. Thanks for the information that they are still out there! I'll keep looking...

Are you looking for the Rider's manual or the Shop manual? The rider's manual has a lot of info about operating the bike which is not in the shop manual. eBay would be your best bet for an original paper manual - either one.

There was not a workshop manual for 71... the only available one was from an earlier year 70 or 69.. It has a white gloss soft cover with the green globe logo and is quite thin.. and not much use. Some of the torque settings were wrong I think.. I have one somewhere will pm you if I come across .

I downloaded the .pdf and use it more often than I use the paper manual. Saves smudges on the manual if not my phone or mouse. There are some on eBay now. Considering the prices they are asking, I'm glad I am keeping the smudges out of mine!

I'd probably grab this one while it lasts:

Jeepers, I just fell for the four year old thread bait! Oh well the above auctions are current!

The owners manual covers a few years. Bewtter than nothing but not a lot of useful stuff I guess. The Norton dealer I bought my my 1st one from in '70 was very, very good about making sure all the vital adjustments were done and for no cost. Robert Hoyt was his name. Great guy to do biz with.
