Not to beat the dead horse but...
I had an accident this summer and am not able to run the Norton. Its been 5 months and most certainly has drained the oil tank.
Will this cause any issues or damage to leave the oil in the crankcase til I can run the engine again?
I always drain before starting.
Thanks

It can possiby weep through the primary crank seal into the primary and fill it too.
That happened on a bike I bought.
Drain the sump and pull the level plug of the primary.

It won't do any damage, in fact if its going to sit for sometime the wet sump will keep your lifters and cam covered in oil, just pull the drain plug before any start up and check if any oil got into your primary case.

That probably indicates a bad seal or one that had been abused by trying to start an engine sump full of oil.

Never a bad idea to check all the fluid levels after a bike has sat for a while.

The oil in sump don't harm anything until you start the bike. So just do your usual routine and drain before starting.
Excessive oil in sump can blow the crankcase to crankshaft seal when you start the bike. Filling the primary. Has happened to me on a 650SS.

Yes, I should have completed the statement as I replaced mine.

What is a reasonable time frame for a bike to wet sump? Mine seems to take about 2-3 months. Once I get the carbs running right I'll ride it more often. Trying to make sure there isn't another problem lurking.

I refer to Mike40M answer, 2- 3 months is really nothing to worry about yet.
