I'm going to London on a vacation in late September (8 days) and staying in a flat near the Portobello market. I've got my Oyster Pass. What things motorcycle related should I be checking out. I know about the National Motorcycle Museum and of course the Ace Cafe. Any pubs around I can hang out and have a pint of a nice Porter while my wife and daughter are shopping?

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Bit of a trip but doable by Tube and then a very short bus ride. Excellent collection.

Thanks for your suggestions, now waiting for the day to come!

If you are still there, the Orange pub, great ambiance, a very pleasant 4 mile walk through some of the nicest parts of London.

37-39 Pimlico Rd, Belgravia, London SW1W 8NE

Try the The Five Points, XPA, brewed in Hackney, East London. One of the nicest beers I've had for some time.

And of course the Ace Cafe.

If you get time, Sammy Millers museum down in New Milton, Hampshire.

And nothing to do with bikes..

The National Maritime Museum Greenwich, followed by a trip to the Trafalgar pub, right on the banks of the Thames.

The Science Museum.

The R.A.F. museum Hendon.

I could go on...

One of my mate's spent some time in London and did a pub crawl, a whole month drunk a different pub every day and still didn't get to see much else:confused:

That is entirely believable!

Around 15th September each year is when the Goodwood Revival is on. It's an easy drive from London and there are plenty of places to stay within 30 miles of Goodwood..

All the Goodwood events are numbers restricted and sell out months in advance, bit late now.
