Can anyone let me have the exact dimensions of a late Dominator gearbox adjuster please, so I can make one up in stainless. It's the hoop with the threaded rod off it. Also, any reason why despite being the same part number, the Dominator adjuster is about ten pounds more expensive than the pre Mk3 Commando version?

As near as I can tell from measuring mine on the bike, an early Atlas, the threaded shaft is 3/8" - 26, and is 2.5" long. The hoop fits over a 1/2" threaded rod, thus the clearance hole is about 33/64". The outside diameter of the hoop seems to be 0.825". I measure (with a digital caliper) the thickness of the hoop to be 0.600"

These dimensions may not be dead nuts accurate, but a part made to these dimensions should work for you.

featherbed adjuster is cycle threads and commando is unf 3/8-24. Also the featherbed may use reduced hex nuts as full size will work poorly so close to the plate.
