Country flag
In the Second World War the British government prepared a whole propaganda programme for use in the event of our German friends crossing the channel.

“Keep Calm and Carry On”

It’s become hugely popular in recent years, adorning t shits, mugs, etc, etc. And has become synonymous with the British ‘stiff upper lip’.

Trouble is, that just doesn’t apply to modern Brits I’m sorry to say. As soon as we have an issue, it all goes to shit and we run around in mass panic.

It’d be more appropriate to bring back Sid James and Co...

“Carry On and Keep Panicking”...

Jus’ sayin’

still a lot of admiration of the head up ,chin out Brits over here Nigel , maybe it from past days , but still exists especially at
every Legion function , still enough of the folks around that remember the sacrifices made in the UK to save our free World ....

Panic is happening in every country and really I am a shame of my fellow Aussie's in the way they are behaving in our local supermarket and on the news the other night in L.A people curing to buy guns to protect their supplies, my wife and myself are just dong what we always do, I have only been out yesterday for the first time in 3 weeks not because of the virus, I am doing reno work on my old house and needed supplies for the bath room floor and to get my pills from the Chemist, but the wife is having troubles with somethings from the stores, and to the people abusing the supermarket workers for doing their job, its not their fault people are going crazy in a mad panic, who ever thought we be fighting over toilet paper, instead of fighting settle down and help each other out and there be no problem.

Like others, I've been joking about the Tp thing. Today my wife went looking for the usual 1 or 2 cases, since we are nearly out.
She tried 4 big box grocery stores, all were out.
Pretty annoying when rational behaviour gets you last place. The irrationals have their needed item and mine too.

I must admit I too have become a panic buying stockpiler
I have just bought 300 spark plugs 18 gallons of oil 10 clutch cables and a spare set of bearings for my turbo visor
That lot should see me through 14 days I reckon

Yeah, my missus got the gin and wine in, I'll start to worry when that runs out !

The benefits of the Virus. I don't have to talk to doorstep sales people, I am not being dragged off to visit annoying relatives, I won't be going to Warners Hotels or fly off for a week in some Hotel somewhere. I can ride my bike, play in my mancave, be old and grumpy in isolation.

Tesco were limiting clutch cables to two per customer :-(

Their own supermarket brand engine oil is a load of crap also! :)
Has that company now got their own oil well? Or are they just recycling engine oil?

I have made my wife self-isolate as she is one extremely at risk with her health issues. Can you believe her GP needs her to attend at the surgery tomorrow to discuss her current medication, as they want to take her off one sort? I’m not happy and I’ll be waiting to flare at the doc.

on a brighter note I have just been out on the Busa for its MOT test, it was 6 months overdue oops. It passed, understandably, and I’ve covered 192 miles since the last one in September 2019. Believe it or not, it will be 21 years old in a fortnight - believed to be possibly the oldest in the UK still on the road.

Police called to the local Asda yesterday, moronic amoeba's fighting over eggs of all things .The mind boggles at what a load of thick Pratt's we are becoming ! Had a WhatsApp saying Aldi are limiting people to 2 trumpets, 1 diving suit and a mig welder . Sounds fair !

Did you cover those 192 miles in 1 hour?
