The second motorcycle I bought in Los Angeles around 1987. It's a 1973 Norton Commando. I had a lot of good times with this motorcycle. I just grew up really loving Norton's - the upswept pipe it's an English twin Norton was renowned for the featherbed frame which means that the engine is rubber mounted kind of taking a lot of the vibration out of. It's got a nice sound smells good when it heats up the oil and got a lot of miles on that motorcycle.

Yup, it is a common misunderstanding of featherbed vs the nicker-lastics. Can't fault him on this, not everyone needs to be totally immersed in all the Norton minutia. "Featherbed" implies a soft vib free ride, which is the intent of the iso setup.

Understand. Prince 2 X. Rolling Stones 5 X. Last time Stones in Havana Cuba , in a wheelchair , front row priority with a Police escort. And my sexy Latin Wife clearing the decks for me. She makes things happen.

Blimey I have never heard anyone get this muddled up before !
More apologies to Mr Keanu

I recall liking the TV adverts more than the actual movie! True of many movies I guess...
I went to see it with two mates I was 15 at the time
We came out of the cinema all fired and I kicked a cardboard box full of rubbish across the pavement like an idiot
Some of it went into an open door of a shopping precinct
We were all laughing about until this security bloke came round the corner with a German shepherd
He set the dog on me and bit my arm and pulled me down ripping my jacket ,it's teeth rolled around my arm as I fell
The security bloke called the dog back and ran off
Just after that we flagged a police car down ,told them what happened and they took me to hospital for stitches and a tetnis jab
The police took a statement and kept my jacket
My parents came too collect me and I thought I was in trouble but no ,they were all shocked that someone had set a dog on me !!
Happy days they were

Ruff , Ruff. You survived with memories !

I love the smell of Castrol in the Morning. Smells like Victory.
Favorite sandwich : Prime rib roast beef ( rare ) on toasted Rye . A dab of Dijon and Tabasco. Sea salt. Lettuce.
I love the smell of castor oil in the morning brings back the good old days on my mc400 Maico early 70's.

It's fantastic that Keanu has given the Commando some great press, but let's not forget all those other stars who were also associated with the Best Brit:
Clint on a blue 'S' Type
Steve McQueen on a Bronze Roadster
Marc Bolan & Mickey Finn
Robert Fripp - not forgetting his great recent videos with Toyah (who got famous along with Joy Division thanks to Granada TV up here in't frozen north).
Keith Emerson
Alvin Stardust
and my favourite... Dick Emery :)

I saw New Order at King George's Hall in Blackburn in the mid '80s, and my biggest regret was not selling my ticket to the guy who offered me face value for it. A godawful gig

Yep, I saw them, perhaps 1983ish. The bassist never even turned to face the audience. They played like it was a sound check with no one there. Dull.

After Curtis‘ death, the signer and base player fought like cat and dog, up to the present day.

You were probably watching during one of their petty ‘domestics’ with both of them sulking !

I didn't know Keanu had had his commando backed into a couple of months ago
I just stumbled on it on YouTube
He seemed pretty cool about it

Ruote Borrani is not convinced - they say Keanu's bike is a Guzzi...
